Biphasic HAP / TCP ceramic


An excellent response to bone filling


Phosphocalcic hydroxyapatite Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 is the closest material to bone tissue in terms of its composition and structure.


CERAFORM is a biphasic ceramic containing hydroxyapatite (HAP) and tricalcic phosphate tricalcique (TCP). The addition of TCP more soluble than HAP produces a ceramic with very interesting biological properties.
CERAFORM is a synthetic bone substitute designed for filling in losses of substance not subject to stress in post-traumatic or tumoral indications

CERAFORM’s chemical composition is 65% HAP, 35% TCP.
Its structure contains totally pores of 300 to 500 microns, enabling rapid  osteo-integration. Its total porosity is 60%.

It contains no human or animal organic phase: no contaminating effect.
· Biocompatible
No observed toxicity or rejection phenomena.
· Osteo-integratable
Recognised by the bone cells; it integrates perfectly with the tissues..


Use of CERAFORM


  • In orthopaedics
    - Filling: bone losses from the base of the acetabulum, replacing hip prostheses, etc.
    - Regeneration: vertebral fusion, addition osteotomy, etc.
  • In maxillo-facial operations
    Filling cysts, periodontal pockets, facial osteoplasties, supplements to dental implants, etc.
