The device is intended to create access to a single vertebral body to inject bone cement, and can also be used to perform a biopsy during cementoplasty procedures. The device is intended for a single patient and applicable to a single vertebra.

The device is indicated in cementoplasty procedures such as vertebroplasty of kyphoplasty.
