Intended use

EU
Cement restrictor is a diaphyseal plug intended to occlude the medullary cavity before the introduction of acrylic cement during hip arthroplasty surgeries.

U.S.
CEMSTOP® cement restrictor is a diaphyseal plug designed to occlude the medullary cavity before the introduction of acrylic cement during total hip arthroplasty.
CEMSTOP® prevents the cement from flowing down the diaphysis, and therefore facilitates cement pressurisation. Totally biocompatible, CEMSTOP ® is completely reabsorbed within several days at 37°C and resists the temporary increase in temperature generated by the polymerisation of acrylic cement.
